Protecting youth is the top priority of Scouting America, which has developed some of the strongest, expert-informed youth protection policies in any youth-serving organization. These include mandatory criminal background checks for all leaders, required Youth Protection training, strict mandatory reporting procedures, and two-deep leadership to ensure safety. Every suspected instance of abuse is promptly reported to law enforcement to maintain a secure environment for all Scouts.
