The associate in science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program is designed to prepare students to assist a licensed Physical Therapist in the physical rehabilitation of patients. Physical Therapist Assistants generally work in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, school systems, and home health agencies. In Florida alone, over 2,000 new jobs were expected between 1990 and 2005. This limited access program is highly competitive and has special admission requirements.
