The Bible speaks extensively about the primary role of parents in transmitting faith to their children, and the significant role of grandparents. However, contemporary culture has introduced a "new social contract" of non-interference and autonomy, weakening generational ties between children, parents, and grandparents. Recent research indicates that many church-going parents today are unaware of this biblical vision. The rise of age discrimination and the erosion of intergenerational solidarity have created challenges, with three-quarters of families finding that one or more of their children cease practicing their faith after leaving home. This season, Sequoia aims to explore reasonable responses to these challenges and regain hope that we will see all our children and grandchildren in heaven.
