Congressional Art Competition

Congressman Mike Simpson proudly hosts the annual High School Congressional Art Competition for students across Idaho's Second Congressional District, an event that has showcased the talents of countless young artists since 1982. This esteemed competition not only provides a platform for students to display their artistic prowess to the public but also offers them the chance to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for a year. Winners are awarded with the opportunity to attend a special reception in Washington, D.C., with airfare provided for the student and a parent. Congressman Simpson’s commitment to fostering creativity and recognizing achievement among Idaho’s youth underscores his dedication to supporting education and the arts in the community he serves.
